Proceeds from calligrapher Kadir Sakoğlu's "Family Calligraphy" exhibition will be donated to Gaza.
The exhibition, organized by the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities ( YTB ) and Gölbaşı Culture and Art Center at the YTB Exhibition Hall, features calligraphy works created with hadiths, verses and beautiful sayings related to "family" and emphasizing the importance of family.
Speaking to an Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter at the exhibition opening, calligrapher Kadir Sakoğlu stated that they wanted to capitalize on the declaration of 2025 as the Year of the Family, saying, "We all know the importance of family and family values very well. We wanted to combine this with our art and offer something beautiful to society. To this end, we selected verses, hadiths, and polite words from the Quran and prepared 29 works with 25 of our students. As a result of this work, which lasted approximately six months, we found the opportunity to present these beautiful works."

If we can benefit even a little, we plan to send them to them. We will strive to develop calligraphy in Ankara within this framework."

Gökhan Çakır, one of Calligrapher Sakoğlu's students, stated that he has been practicing calligraphy for 10 years and that he creates works by combining modern and classical art.

Çakır, explaining that his work in the exhibition featured verses from the Surah Al-Isra, which discusses mercy for parents, said, "We are holding a family exhibition, and Muslims are a large family. Therefore, we have decided to distribute a portion of the proceeds from this exhibition to those in need in Gaza."

The exhibition can be visited until November 2.
